Nellie

Shipping traffic the North-East Coast was interrupted yesterday for about twelve hours, owing to the prevalence a dense fog. The trawler Nellie, belonging to North Shields, as she was entering the Tyne got out of her course, and ran ashore on the Herd Sands at South Shields, but received no damage, although she had a narrow escape from striking the South Pier groyne.
