Steamer Runs Aground at South Shields
While entering the Tyne late on Saturday night the Glasgow steamer Maralie grounded near the Groyne Pier. South Shields, but was later refloated with the help of a tug. The Maralie proceeded the Tyne Dock Engineering Company's yard, where a salvage boat remained in attendance.
