Isabella

Yesterday morning, the weather along the coast was very thick, heavy rain fell, and two, if not three, vessels were aground some miles to the south of the Tyne. About three o'clock the brig Isabella, 273 tons, in ballast, from Dieppe, went ashore near Whitburn. The crew took to the boats, and landed at Whitburn. The vessel is the property of Mr Dawson, of Blyth. She has since filled with water, and the weather continuing very rough, it was yesterday afternoon expected that she would become total wreck.
