Challanger

Mishap to a Fishing Vessel at Shields

As the sailing herring drifter Challenger, of Banff, was proceeding to sea from the Tyne, yesterday morning, she got ashore upon the rocks on the north side of the south pier. Efforts to get her off at first proved unsuccessful, but the crew remained on board, and during the afternoon, as the tide rose, she was refloated.
