Catherina

Shields, Saturday, Midnight. - The wind is round to the S. E. and it appears to be really fresh weather at last. The sea is very strong on the Bar of the Tyne. The Catherina, a Danish vessel, from Hull, laden with salt, struck on the Herd Sand to-night. Her stern boat was washed out of the davits, but she got off, and is safe in the harbour. The lifeboats have been out at a foreign sloop, which broke her tow-line, and drifted into broken water, but she has been got into safety also.
