S.S. Baron Dunmore of Ardrossan 2363 tons ran ashore on South Pier inside of harbour at 0727. W. Harris C.G proceeded to scene of casualty and tugs were in attendance and required no other assistance. Tynemouth M.L.B. and all other authorities informed.
Vessel refloated by the aid of 11 tugs and towed up river Tyne at 11.00 a.m.
